Updates

This site publishes its own edit history, the same way it publishes the state's list changes. Newest first.

  1. Site launch (draft)

This site is a reference for Colorado’s specified-semiautomatic-firearms law (SB25-003): the state’s published list of covered models, what changed between list versions, what each of Colorado’s 64 counties is doing about sheriff eligibility cards, and the active litigation challenging the law.

Every fact on the site carries a chip showing its source, when it was checked, and who checked it — a person, an agent, or the community. Data comes from versioned files reviewed and merged by a human; nothing publishes automatically.

This entry is a placeholder for the launch announcement — the final wording gets a human pass before go-live (see the project’s RB-07 runbook).

  2. List version 2026-07-01 loaded

Colorado’s Firearms Dealer Division published the official Specified Semiautomatic Firearms Guidance on July 1, 2026, replacing the May 15, 2026 draft. This site loaded the new version the same day.

35 entries present in the May 15 draft do not appear in the July 1 version, including the Mauser M1916, the Q Fix series, and the Ruger 10/22 I-Tac. See /list/changes for the full added/removed/modified breakdown, and /list for the current version’s source, checksum, and download.
