Report a correction

This site is only as good as its ground truth. If you've contacted your sheriff, spotted an error in the list, or have a source we missed, tell us. Every submission is reviewed by a human before anything is published. When we publish a community-sourced fact, it carries a community-verified badge and links your evidence.

What we review

  • A county's status — application channel, fees, whether the sheriff's office is currently accepting applications.
  • A firearms-list entry — a manufacturer or model listed, removed, or flagged incorrectly.
  • Anything else on the site you believe is wrong or out of date.
What are you correcting?

What happens next

  1. Your report opens a review item — no account, no tracking.
  2. A human checks it against your evidence and any sheriff source.
  3. If it holds up, the county row (or list entry) is updated and the fact is published with a community-verified badge citing your evidence.

There's no fixed turnaround time. Reports affecting the highest- population counties or the current list version get looked at first.
